Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast We all want to look gorgeous during all time of the day? Am I right? But while we are working out and sweating it can be a not so glamorous time. What are some tips to help keep you gorgeous during your workout? I got answers below.. Heres some stylist tips from me (having had to workout in between work shifts I know how to clean up nice): -Use a wipe to take off all traces of foundation and concelor to prevent breakouts..I like MAC wipes (keep them in your gym bag!) -Use a lash primer! I carry my brand C2 with me when I travel to keep my lashes healthy and my mascara staying put all day...no moving to the brow bones anymore! It conditions my lashes as an extra bonus making them full and healthy 24/7 ($20/tube for orders email celia.cavalli@gmail.com) -Use Vitamin E oil on lips during workout, the heat from your skin allows it to soak in, keeping your lips healthy and happy (Wholefoods) -ALWAYS use lifting gloves, nobody likes calluses. -Use wipes after workout if you don't have time to shower (I prefer using Target brand anti bacterial wipes for quick wipe down) -Carry a quick mineral based foundation for touch ups after workout C2 cosmetics has portable easy to use pressed mineral foundations. Voila! You gorgeous beast you! XO Business barbie celia.cavalli@gmail.com

Are you REALLY getting enough protein?

A funny thing I have noticed is this myth that women are not suppose to consume protein or they will "bulk" up the truth couldn't be further from this myth.
Protein aids in building lean muscle tissue giving you that smooth touchable lean legs and arms.
A high protein diet can actually help you decrease body fat and tone the entire body while having more energy!
A general rule for protein consumption for lean muscle mass is half your bodies weight in protein.
So say I weight 105
I should shoot for around 52 grams per day.

seem like a lot?

Not really! with all the awesome shakes out there and a well balanced diet its very easy to hit the targets you set for yourself.

Some of my favorite protein based foods are:
-Herbalife Chicken soup (good for winter or when you have a cold) containing 16 grams of quality protein) you can buy directly from me at celia.cavalli@gmail.com
-Chicken breast cooked or grilled not fried.
-Formula one shakes from Herbalife with almond milk about 15 grams for 2 scoops
-Syntha 6 protein powder also tastes great and is good post workout :)

Self doubt

It's something everyone deals with. Even that perfect girl or guy who sat by you in math class who you always thought was confident and secure had problems with self image and self esteem. We all do. And it's hard to truly love yourself when you pick so hard at something you don't have total control over.
I had one of these days this week where I completely tore myself apart. Nothing was good enough. At all. I wished I was better at things as we all do.
I took on too much and was killing myself because I couldn't catch up and conquer it all.
I blamed myself for being tired when I didn't have enough hours in the day. I had to choose what was most important to me.
But that's really the beautiful part about being different is we all have our strong skills then we have the ones we can choose to work on and develop. I found my biggest fault was giving up immediately if I didn't think I was good at something or could learn it. Or taking on too much and spreading myself thin to the point where I could rip at the smallest scrap.
It's unhealthy. It's the over achiever, type A fault.
So this week I had the flu and fell behind and completely lost it and blew up at some of my closest friends because I had stressed myself to the point of delusional.
I had finally got back to lifetime today to do my second workout for the day and a beautiful, very fit woman came up to me and asked if she could work in on my machine I was on. We ended up talking and she has done many many shows and is going for her pro card. She asked what show I was going to do and I looked at her shocked since I feel fat and out of shape from being sick and told her I was training for my first comp ever. She told me I looked almost ready for the stage and would kill it. In that moment I realized I push way to hard on things that do take time&that weren't as bad as I assumed.
Sometimes we just need to take a step back and realize life is a blessing and everyday that you get to do what you truly love is amazing. Not to take for granted, not to feel bad about but to just smile knowing you did your all.
